Main characters of Autobots :
Optimus Prime
Leader of the Autobots, and yes, he's THE BOT. His alternate mode is a flat nose truck, which can be see here but not in US anymore. His courage and never-say-die attitude instantly became every kids' favourite character, or some to the extent of father figure, in a good way. Unlike any other autobots, he can single handed-ly defeat Decepticons include Megatron. Optimus Prime, according to the cartoon series, was actually Orion Pax. He was chosen to lead Autobots by Alpha Trion who resurrected him from death after he got blasted apart by Megatron in Cybertron. Here's a clip that why Optimus Prime can do what others autobots can't do : Kicking ass.
Ironhide
Self-proclaimed of Optimus Prime's bodyguard, but he does it well too ! An Autobot veteran who is as old as Optimus Prime himself, he always put himself on the frontline, ready to battle. Armed withsemen cement and other chemical fluids, he can freeze decepticons to a halt.
Ratchet
The medic of Autobots, and an alt mode as an ambulance obviously.
Prowl
A right-hand man of Optimus Prime. With an alt of a police car, he can patrol around to look out for any Decepticons. He can be quite anal when it comes to rules.
Wheeljack
The brain behind the Autobots. Whenever there's trouble about machine, he is the one they look for. Even Ratchet needs his help in medical issues, as Transformers are all living machines. To some, he is mostly a mad scientist.
Sideswipe & Sunstreaker
Both are fast, both are furious, both can fight and speed with style !!
Jazz
Specialist in dangerous missions, loves rock & roll music.
Last but not least,
Bumblebee
He's cute. He's a volkswagon. He loves to help people. He's an underdog. What's more ? He's the cutest autobot around :D.
