The fight begins.. (part 1)

Great, I have finished my procastinating, so here goes XD.

In the first 2 seasons, there are so many characters that you(or rather me) better off not getting into much detail, as they are quite forgettable. However those seasons had introduced some (and mostly) memorable characters, mostly combiners into the show to spice thing up. I won't be seperating them into the main 2 faction again, just for my own selfish convenience XD.

The Dinobots

From left : Grimlock(T-rex), Slag(triceratop), Snarl(stegosaurus), Sludge(brontosaurus) and Swoop(Pteradactyl).

The famous gang of terror, but kinda irony that their names are hard to remember :/. Lead by Grimlock, their combat skills are undisputely superior and fear by Decepticons. When transformed into Dino mode, nothing can stand in their way. However their intelligent is somewhat lower, as each and everyone of them always start a conversation with "me bla bla bla bla...".

Even though they consist of 5 members, dinobots are not a combiners. But they actually tipped the victory to autobots' favor, as decepticons' combiners out-number them.

Aerialbots
Members consists of Silverbolt, Air Raid, Slingshot, Fireflight and Skydive. They are Autobots' first actual combiners. Aerialbots are created as a countermeasure against Decepticons' second combiners : the Stunticons, which consist of vehicles with their high flying antics. When they combine, they form a giant robot called Superion.

Stunticons
Members : Breakdown, Deadend, Motormaster, Wildrider, Dragstrip
The second combiners for Decepticons, and my favourite.Terrible five wreck havoc against the autobots right after their introduction. For example, Optimus Prime challenge Motormaster for brute strength by head-on collision in an episode about capturing the Stunticons. Prime just barely won it, as he stated that he felt dizzy after collided with Motormaster. Unlike others decpeticons, they seem to wonder by their own instead of waiting for Megatron's orders, which make me like them more. They combine to become Menasor.

The end of part 1, more to come.....

Before Transformers, there's.....
Where it all begins (part 1)
Where it all begins (part 2)
Where it all begins (part 3)
Where it all begins (part 4)

THIS.IS.A.REVIEW *kick*

Just came back from Time Square, along with my second movie review of 2007 : 300.

You know the history, you read the graphic novel, so there's no need to be afraid of spoiler. The story is plain simple and straight forward, Persian army ready to fuck Greece in the ass, but only a small group of madmen stand in their way, the 300 Spartan soldiers, led by their king Leonidas.

That's only the summary, what about other peformances, all I can say is the movie is overally "graphic-novel-accurate". All the elements in the novel are inside the movie, brought to life, only a few additions of rhinos, weird monsters and the Spartan queen attend the hall. I don't mind a slight cut of certain parts, like revealing tities, glad that censorship didn't cut off important dialogues and ALL the fight scenes, even though it's kinda contradict their rating system that put the film as 18-PL.

The effect ? Brilliant. Blood flying around, seeing people stabbed to death just pure gore in G minor. I smiled everytime I saw people got stabbed, slashed, stomped, or fell to their death.

That's hardly anything to talk about, as the movie is like a graphic novel being brought to life, great but kinda overhyp0ed IMO. Still, I give the movie a satisfactory 9/10.

Next movie : Pan's Labyrinth.

I can't help but feel pissed when the thing I am still learning to handle marred by another people who just solve it on the spot, without hassle, which made me look like an idiot too. Well, I am a slow learner, even though I can shrug off with "sooner or later I can too" excuse, I can't help but feel sad of myself. It's not that I didn't try hard, I HAD tried hard but I am still meh, just like my physic in form 6, no matter how hard I tried I still got the above average result, and my dad kept insisting that I did not try hard enough.

How hard is trying hard ? How weak is not hard enough ? My question seem arkward but really, I have been asking myself when I enter form 6. Why am I trying so hard for ? I think it's better to compare myself instead of others, now that's self assuring. But there's other feeling you can't escape : the urge to compare with others. Kinda funny and ironic that my dad told me not to compare with others yet compare me in the end, yet I don't have the gut to snap back at him with "why don't you just adopt them since they are better than me ?!", or I should have ? I think better not, it's just rude and mindless :/.

Oh well, maybe I should forget about it and move on ? Just like what Rocky Balboa said :"It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can take the hit, and keep moving forward."
